So...In four hours time, I had three garbage bags full of stuff and 4 recycling bins filled with old papers. ( I had papers with the name of my old school on them and the papers were written in English, Spanish and Creole. I haven't worked at that school in 9 years...It was definitely time for the papers to go!)
Right before I left, I remembered to snap a few pictures :) and I even took a picture of the scary binder collection. (Secretly, I love the collection!!! But don't tell Mrs. Pitts... haha)
ooh and here is the BEAUTIFUL collection of binders. :)
(4 are missing from the picture. I had to use them today.)

The Room is a DISASTER AREA...
Why is it that when you are cleaning/ organizing things get REALLY BAD before they can start getting better?? All of my stuff and all of Mrs. Pitts stuff is in the room. (Notice I don't say closet or "neatly organized and put it away"...) Stuff is EVERYWHERE! The two of us seem like hoarders, we have so much. (For anyone wondering we are not hoarders. We are just prepared for any possible situation that could come our way. :) Teachers are prepared for EVERYTHING!! haha)
Mrs. Pitts has been going through her stuff for the past few weeks. She's packed up her 2nd grade stuff, given some of it away, gone through her K stuff, thrown some (or shouls I say A TON away). Her children have come in and helped organize some things for us: craft stuff, construction paper, books, bulletin boarder. They are AMAZING!! Also, she found all of our platic containers and crates... MAN, we have as many as Walmart. If you don't believe me, I can prove it. Check out the pictures. :)
Well last Friday I was free, so I went in to go through some things in the closet. I found items that were from college, dated 1999 and they probably hadn't been opened since then too... No idea why I held on to them for this length of time. Because of Pinterest and Teacher Pay Teacher I never go through my old things. I had 10 binders (for those of you that don't know... I LOVE BINDERS! I realized it while I was cleaning.) filled with amazing crafts and worksheets!! But I can't remember the last time I even opened them! :( So I took out all the papers and decided they were going in the recycling bin. My trusty little helper, Peyton (Mrs. Stokers' daughter), wheeled all the papers down the recycling bin. It only took her five trips to get everything down there. (Like I mentioned... I had A LOT! haha)
I don't have any other pictures to showcase all the stuff... but no worries. I'll leave you with a picture I found off the Internet of a "Cluttered Room" and tomorrow I'll post some pictures of our mess. :) I'm trekking back in tomorrow to purge a few more things. haha
