We have been updating our Pages Column (it is a side bar on the right side of the screen) with important information for all of you. :) We added links for the 2014-2015 Lunch Application, our updated Daily Schedule, our Class Book Log, plus we added all the Sight Word Money!! (This file is for the large bills we use in class. We will still send the small Sight Word Money home as we learn the words in class.)
If we think of any other important information that we need to share with you, we will put a link under the Pages Column. :)

Thank you for the Sight Word Money. With the smaller ones that were sent home, I wrote the word on the back with the corresponding color crayon. Now he can review by himself which he enjoys.

ReplyDeleteI am also loving the sight word money. Great idea.....I would also like to volunteer to help out as a parent with parties but I can't do the room mom job this year since I am also in school. Let me know what I can do to help.

ReplyDeleteooh adorable 5-year-old question about the money: "Can I buy real things at the store with this money?" I think I disappointed him when I said that the "money" could only buy dum dum lollipops at school with me. He was hoping to buy a toy with his money... :)
(I have called on two students every day and if they can read our four new sight words, they earn a lollipop!)

Thanks for the Sight Word Money, we still have to review it, and I love looking at Ryan's works from school. He is getting good at in writing his alphabets...and he is excited to go to school everyday. Today he was so proud to have a lollipop...because he did something in art class (?)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's excited about coming to school. We have a really sweet class!! Everyone is working hard to show us their work and follow the rules so that they can be a CHAMP!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have Art yesterday... but quite a few students earned a dum dum lollipop from Mrs. Pitts when we visited the bathrooms. (That may have been when he earned his. :)
I must agree that the sight word money was a great idea...I let Jaiden color each one and he has been working on them everyday after school.

ReplyDeleteIt's easier to email us the date you would like to sign up for. We check our email periodically throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm thinking about it- quite a few parents last year signed up for a Friday that was near their child's birthday. So even if you want to choose a date in October, let us know now and you can guarantee the date. :)
